REA Consultancy has been awarded as partner of BYS Group consortium for an EU funded contract in Turkey.

REA Consultancy has been awarded as partner of BYS Group (TR) consortium for an IPA funded contract in Turkey entitled “Technical Assistance for Improving Product Safety through Better Harmonisation and Implementation of EU Technical Legislation on Machinery Sector”.

The budget of the project is € 889.500,00 and the project will be implemented within 12 month-period.

The overall objective of the project is to archive a higher level of product safety through better harmonization and implementation of EU technical legislation in Turkish machinery sector.

Within the scope of the contract, the knowledge of the staff of the Ministry of Industry and Technology (MoSIT), Notified Bodies (NBs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) on accreditation standards for conformity assessment, testing / calibration laboratories, EU directives and regulations on machinery, the noise emission in the environment by equipment for use outdoors, requirements relating to gaseous and particulate pollutant emission limits and type approval for internal combustion engines for non-road mobile machinery will be improved through translation, publication and distribution of guide documents, study visits, workshops, trainings and introductory films.

 

 

REA Consultancy has been awarded as partner of WE Global consortium for an EU funded contract in Turkey.
REA Consultancy has been awarded as partner of WEGlobal (TR) consortium for an IPA funded contract in Turkey entitled “Technical Assistance for Implementation of Civil Society Dialogue and Civil Society Support Programmes”.

The budget of the project is € 3,000,000 and the project will be implemented within 36 month-period.

The purpose of this contract is to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs (DEUA) for the implementation of four grant schemes (“Civil Society Support Programme II (CSSP-II)”, “Civil Society Support Programme III (CSSP-III)”, “Civil Society Dialogue V (CSDV)” and “Civil Society Dialogue VI (CSD-VI)”) in an effective and timely manner. As a contractor, we will also provide assistance to the Grant Beneficiaries during the implementation of their projects. In this regard, we will realize trainings, organise opening and closing events, prepare and implement publicity and media strategies, design and deliver promotional materials, provide support to the DEUA to develop a regular evaluation and assessment method for these programmes and assist DEUA in the management of the consultation mechanism to improve the participation and contribution of the civil society organizations to the IPA programming process in the civil society sub-sector.

 

THE OPENING CEREMONY OF “THE CIVIL SOCIETY DIALOGUE – V AND CIVIL SOCIETY SUPPORT PROGRAMME – II” PROGRAMMES

The Opening Ceremony of the “Civil Society Dialogue – V and Civil Society Support Programme – II” Programmes was held on 10 April 2019 in Ankara, Turkey at Bilkent Convention Centre by REA Consultancy LTD. as one of the consortium members of the project implementation.

At the opening ceremony Mehmet Selim Uslu, Director of Central Finance and Contracts Unit, Ambassador Christian Berger, Head of Delegation to European Union to Turkey, and Ambassador Faruk Kaymakçı, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs & Director for EU Affairs; have given their opening remarks. Other than the public organizations and embassies, the event was supported by civil society representatives which were awarded with a grant.

A grant beneficiary of the Civil Society Support Programme, Ankara State Conservatory Alumni Association gave a mini concert to the participants.

The opening statements continued with the panel “Introduction of Civil Society Dialogue and Civil Society Support Programme.’’

 

THE OPENING EVENT OF EUROPEAN UNION (EU) PROJECT ‘TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR IMPROVING PRODUCT SAFETY THROUGH BETTER HARMONISATION OF EU TECHNICAL LEGISLATION ON MACHINERY SECTOR’

The opening event of the EU Project titled ‘Technical Assistance for Improving Product Safety through Better Harmonisation and Implementation of EU Technical Legislation on Machinery Sector’ was implemented on July 2, 2019 by consortium members, BYS Group, European Profiles S.A, IDONIAL (formerly; PRODINTECT) and REA Consultancy LTD.

To the event, took place at Bilkent Convention Centre, Ankara, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez, Industrial Directorate General Manager Dr. Halil İbrahim Çelik, Industrial Product Safety and Inspections Directorate General Manager Mehmet Bozdemir, president of Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin, Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Deputy Head of Section Trade and other EU policies Giulio Francesco Gentile, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs Deputy of Department of Project Implementation Bülent Özcan, Provincial Director of Ankara Vehbi Konarlı, NGOs of machinery sector and private sector representatives have attended.

Following the statements, representative of the consortium, lead by BYS Group, Dr. Tolga Kaskatı and the team leader of the project Zühtü Bakır has introduced the project to the participants.

 

 

STUDY VISIT TO THE UNITED KINGDOM (THE UK) OF EUROPEAN UNION (EU) PROJECT ‘TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR IMPROVING PRODUCT SAFETY THROUGH BETTER HARMONISATION OF EU TECHNICAL LEGISLATION ON MACHINERY SECTOR’

The first study visit event of the EU Project titled ‘Technical Assistance for Improving Product Safety through Better Harmonisation and Implementation of EU Technical Legislation on Machinery Sector’ was implemented between July 22, 2019 to July 26, 2019 by consortium members, BYS Group and REA Consultancy LTD. as well as the participants from Ministry of Industry and Technology (MoIT).

The UK is one of the countries that have successfully transposed and implemented the EU technical legislation.

During the study visit, the committee visited the following institutions/bodies in the UK;

  • Mecalac Factory
  • Perkins Engines Company Limited

and held meetings with Department for Transport (TBC), CEA (Construction Equipment Association) and JCB.
